People are temporary. It’s a hard truth because we don’t even want to believe that our own existence is temporary. But that is the beauty and the pain about life.
And this does not mean their lives are temporary, it just means that their purpose in yours is.
There are a lot of people in this world who change your life. The coolest thing is when they don’t even realize the impact that they had. But how they change your life is a test of time and a test of moral knowledge that they will not be changing your life forever. People are temporary. Man, we’re all temporary. The kid from 7th grade that you haven’t seen in a decade. The cute boy from the bar. The hairstylist you look forward to seeing. All of them.
But sometimes temporary is good because it allows that impact to cut deeper and not be tainted by an unwanted future.
You can’t expect things to last because only the inevitable does. When things don’t last, believe it. It’s factual, it’s true, it’s right in front of your eyes. People will change your life for the better until the situation has overstayed its welcome.
The things that are here to stay will never know an expiration date.
